AHOSCC - The Hunters

AHOSCC 88 and 4/123 d Pulteney 51 and 148.

Our Bs will now take on Gaza for the B1 premiership after a great win against Pulteney on the weekend.

Day one: In a see sawing match Pulteney won the toss on deck that looked like it would favour the bowlers. They batted first only to be skittled for 51. Our bowlers were outstanding with Roubos, Mitchell and Bannard picking up two each before Mark Davies stepped up with a sensational spell to clean up the last four that included a hat trick – all bowled.

Then it was our turn to bat. After some quick wickets and nervous moments we passed the Pulteney score finishing on 88 – only 37 in front but it meant Pulteney now had to win outright to win the match.

Day two: On day two, Pulteney pushed on for quick runs and eventually were all out for 148 setting us a target of 120 to win in 47 overs. Warren Mitchell (4 wickets) and George Roubos (5 wickets) were sensational with the ball.

The run chase started but on a much easier deck to bat on, only poor batting would have stopped us winning. In the end we were 4/123 to win the game comfortably. Craig Ridley was the best of the bats with 35.

B Grade v Pulteney OS at AHS #1

Our undefeated B Grade team takes on Pultney in the first semi final this weekend. Get down there and support the team in our quest for the club's 13th premiership. The game starts at 12.30. Go Hunters!
